Renting a Boat from the Owner in Dubai — and Listing Your Own

Every boat on Aceplace is listed by its owner, who sets the price and rules. How to rent from an owner safely, what to check if you book direct, and how owners can list a boat.

Renting a boat "from the owner" in Dubai is how Aceplace works: every one of the 141 yachts and boats on the site is listed by its owner or charter company, who sets the price, the minimum hours and the rules. You see all of that before you book, pay online, and our team handles the booking from confirmation to boarding. This guide covers both sides — how to rent a boat from an owner safely, and how owners can list their boat.

Part 1: Renting a boat from an owner

How it works on Aceplace

  1. Find a boat for your group and date in search. Every card shows the hourly price, set by the owner.
  2. Check the yacht page: capacity, minimum hours, marina, what's on board, and the cancellation policy.
  3. Book and pay online. On 78 boats the booking is confirmed instantly. On the rest, the owner confirms the date — you get the confirmation with the berth and boarding details.
  4. On the day, arrive at the marina 15–30 minutes early with an original ID for every guest. The captain and crew are included on every boat.

More detail in how it works.

What owners decide — and what that means for you

  • The price. Each owner sets their own hourly rate, from AED 350 an hour for a small boat to over AED 20,000 for the largest superyacht. That's why two similar boats can differ by hundreds of dirhams — compare a few before booking. See yacht rental prices in Dubai.
  • The minimum. 3 hours on most boats (83 of 141), 2 hours on 35, 4 hours on 17, and one hour on a handful.
  • What's on board. Water, soft drinks and ice are on almost every boat; towels, a grill, a bar or a jacuzzi depend on the boat — the list is on each yacht page.
  • The cancellation policy. Most owners (129 of 141) use the same scale: free more than 72 hours before the trip, 30% between 72 and 48 hours, 50% between 48 and 24, full price in the last 24 hours. And whatever the boat, you can cancel for free within 24 hours of booking if the trip is at least 72 hours away.
  • House rules on food, drinks and music. They differ from boat to boat — tell us your plans when you book and we'll confirm with the owner.

Booking direct vs through a platform

You can also find owners through friends or social media and book direct. That can work — but check what a platform would check for you:

QuestionWhy it matters
Is the boat licensed to take paying guests, and how many?Capacity is a licensed safety limit — the crew can't take more people
Is a licensed captain included? You shouldn't have to find or pay one separately
What exactly does the price include, and for how long?Avoids surprises on the day
What happens if you cancel, or the weather closes the sea?Get it in writing before you pay
How do you pay, and what proof do you get?A cash deposit to a stranger is the riskiest way to book

On Aceplace, every yacht has been verified by our team, the price and cancellation policy are on the page before you pay, payment is online, and our support is there from booking to boarding. Groups can also split the bill so nobody has to pay for everyone.

Examples

  • Fin, 52 ft, up to 15 guests, Dubai Harbour — AED 850/hour, 3-hour minimum, booked instantly.
  • Vassia, 56 ft, up to 21 guests, Dubai Marina — AED 1,000/hour, 2-hour minimum, booked instantly.
  • Julia, 64 ft, up to 20 guests, Marsa Al Arab next to the Burj Al Arab — AED 2,500/hour, 2-hour minimum, confirmed by the owner.

Part 2: Listing your boat

If you own a yacht or run a charter company in Dubai, Aceplace brings you guests who are ready to book.

  • You stay in control. You create the listing and set the price, availability, minimum hours, rules and amenities.
  • Bookings come straight to you. You're notified as soon as a guest books; where a booking needs your confirmation, the guest gets it once you accept.
  • Live availability. Calendars synchronise automatically, so guests see the dates that are actually free.
  • Every listing is verified by our team before it goes live — which is why guests trust it.
  • FleetAce, our booking management system for charter companies, is free. Aceplace bookings appear in your FleetAce calendar alongside your own.

To start, contact us — tell us about your boat or fleet and we'll explain how listing works and what we need from you.
